History Of the White House
The property as far as we know was built circa 1950 as a domestic dwelling, it was a lawn mower repair shop in 1974 and then developed and fitted out for commercial offices in 1993 by Robert McIntyre Solicitors and Associates. In fact it was officially opened in 1993 by Queensland Attorney-General Dean Wells.
Iconic tenants? well Brisbane Bayside Real Estate of course! But of note was Ron Favaloro - first person in an Australian jail to be ordained into the priesthood. We believe the ABC program Australian Story covered that story in a show titled Hell For Leather on the 13th April 2009. We should also note Stan from Bay Air Transfers (he's a well known local). There was also former coffee shop tenants
Chris Cheung, Town Planner and TV hypnotist celebrity for Ink Without Pain, featured on the channel 7 Sunrise Morning Show. And lastly the WhiteHouse was featured on the popular tourist Channel 7 Show, The Great South East.
So as you can see, this building does have some history. We are excited for you to be part of this great building's history. You never know...your tech company may be the next Google or Facebook....or?
If you know more about the history of the WhiteHouse at Victoria Point...we sure would love to hear from you.
